Golden Milk Smoothie

Turmeric!  It’s been on the cover of Time Magazine with it’s overwhelming popularity. We wanted to find more ways to add it into our everyday. We sampled store bought “golden milk” drinks and decided to create a Curry Girls version that truly satisfies even the biggest skeptic. Taste is not compromised while you add this anti-inflammatory super food into your diet and reap it’s many incredible benefits!

Golden Milk Smoothie

Turmeric!  It’s been on the cover of Time Magazine with it’s overwhelming popularity.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

1 Can full fat coconut milk

1 C almond, hazelnut or other milk alternative or coconut water

23 dates (depending on your sweet tooth)

12 Tbl coconut cream from canned coconut milk or coconut mana/butter

1/21 tsp. turmeric

1/21 tsp. Vietnamese ground cinnamon

Pinch of cardamom

Pinch of ground black pepper (optional)

1 Tbl Flax seeds

1 scoop vanilla flavored protein powder (or 1 Tbl cashew butter or whole soaked cashews)

1 tsp. vanilla ~IF not using a vanilla flavored protein powder

1/21 C ice (optional)

Instructions

Method: Add all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth and warm. This warmth heats up the turmeric so that your body can better absorb it’s amazing benefits! If drinking your smoothie warm isn’t your cup of tea, then add the ice.
